The Bright Ming tombs are located in the north-west foothills of Tianshou Mountain in the Changpin district. There have been thirteen emperors, twenty three empresses and two crown princes buried in the tombs. The tombs cover an area of 40 square kilometres, and it is the largest existing mausoleum building group in China and the whole world. In 2003, the Bright Ming tombs were included in the “World Heritage Site List”.

Bei Hai Park

Bei Hai park is in the west region of Jingshan park in Beijing. It dates back thousands of years, and it is known as “The Three Seas” along with Middle and South sea. It used to be an imperial palace built during the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. After the Revolution, Bei Hai was officially open to the public, and after 1949, it was regarded as the first batch of key national heritage conservation units by the State Council.
