Beijing Airport Transport
Currently, there are five airports in Beijing: Beijing Capital International Airport is the country's largest civilian airport; Beijing Nanyuan Airport are dual-use airport; Beijing Liangxiang Airport, Beijing Shahe Airport and Beijing Badaling Airport are mainly used for military purposes.
Beijing Capital International Airport
Beijing Capital International Airport is the biggest international airport and Asia's second-largest international airport. It plays am important role in the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, including almost all the domestic flights and the international flights. It is China's busiest civilian airport and the base for international airlines, and it worked as the air gateway and hub of foreign relations between China and other world. Capital Airport in 2006 ranked the ninth in the world throughput, among one of the world's ten busiest airport. This implies that Beijing has more frequent political, economic and cultural exchanges with foreign countries.
How to Get to Beijing Capital International Airport
Beijing Capital Airport is in the north-east of urban area, between Shunyi District and Chaoyang District. There is more than twenty kilometres from the Beijing Centre to the airport with developed traffic flow around. Beijing Airport Express way connected airport and the city centre, only 40 minutes required to reach the airport. In order to meet the 2008 Olympic Games, Chinese government also built the Beijing Airport metro line, only 16 minutes required from the urban area (Dongzhimen) to the capital airport. There are a number of airport bus lines from the city to the airport, two-way interval start 10-15 minutes; additionally, there are also taxi stops in the airport.

Beijing NanYuan Airport
Beijing NanYuan Airport was built during the war of resistance against Japan, and initially it is the most important air force airport in the suburb of Beijing. In the 20th century 90's, the airport opened a dozen domestic freight lines, in which way Nanyuan Airport was transferred from a military airport into a dual-use airport. Airlines offered by NanYuan Airport are mainly for domestic use, including the cities of Changsha, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Shengyang, Chengdu, Chongqing and so on.
