This thrilling award-winning musical, based on the novel by Amanda Brown and hit movie of the same title, is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, Tony Award winner and Olivier Award nominee famous for his previous work on the musical "Hairspray".
Ellen Woods is expecting her college sweetheart Warner to propose to her any day now. He invites her out for a nice dinner—this must be it! But Ellen's dreams take a turn for the worst when Warner dumps her instead, saying that he needs to focus on his legal career. Heartbroken and devastated, Ellen decides to show him up and applies to Harvard Law School herself! There is no better motive than a broken heart, and Ellen is absolutely determined.
Full of beautiful dancing, fantastic music and humour, this show is entertaining for all audiences!
After great success on Broadway, this production will start in London's West End on the 5th of December, 2009 at the magnificent Savoy Theatre. British comedy actress Sheridan Smith will take the role of Ellen Woods and Duncan James plays the heartbreaker Warner. The Savoy Theatre will host the show until the 23rd of May, 2010. It is located in central London, near Charing Cross station.
