LAX Los Angeles International Airport 
Los Angeles International Airport is Los Angeles primary airport. With its nine terminals it is the busiest airport in California followed by San Francisco International Airport
. It is located southwest of Los Angeles in the neighborhood of Westchester, only 26 km distance to downtown. With its 61,895,548 passengers in 2007, LAX is the fifth busiest airport in the world and serves several airlines and a large numeber of destinations in five continents. The airport also functions as a joint civil-military facility, providing a base for the United States Coast Guard and its Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles facility.LAX can be reached using the Century Boulevard exit (and several more northern exits) on Interstate 405, or the Sepulveda Boulevard exit on Interstate 105

The FlyAway Bus is a shuttle service run by the LAWA, which travels between the three LAX terminals,24 hours a day,at least once an hour. The one way ticket price is $4 cash for adults, $2 for children aged two to twelve and free for children under age two.
In Los Angeles you can find nine city-authorized taxi companies, regulated by Authorized Taxicab Supervision Inc that maintains a taxicab holding lot under the 96th Street Bridge. A number of private shuttle companies, among them Prime Time Shuttle , SuperShuttle, and Roadrunner Shuttle provide airport transportation as well.
Burbank Glendale-Pasadena Airport 
Burbank Glendale-Pasadena Airport is only 25 km away from Los Angeles city centre. It is the second biggest airport and much closer to Hollywood and Griffith Park.

Long Beach Airport Los Angeles 
Long Beach Airport Los Angeles is only 40 km away from Los Angeles city centre. It is the secondary airport situated closer to some of the coastal attractions in Southern California, such as Palos Verdes and Huntington Beach, Hollywood and Griffith Park.

Three major freeways connect Los Angeles to the rest of California State. I-5, which travels the lenght of California, bisects L.A. on a north-south axis; it continues north to Sacramento and south to San Diego. U.S. 101 links Los Angeles to other coastal cities, heading vast from Pasadena before turning north toward San Francisco and running parallel to I-5. I-10 stretches vast from L.A., providing access to Las Vegas and Arizona.

Tranfers can be made between MTA lines or to other transit authorities. BBBus stands for Big Blue Bus and indicates Santa Monica buses. The local DASH shuttle designed for short neighborhood hops, serves many major tourist destinations
The Blue Line runs north-south between Long Beach and Los Angeles. The Green Line goes east-west from Norwalk to Redondo Beach. The Red Line runs from Union Station and downtown through Hollywood to the San Fernando Valley. The new Gold Line connects to the Red Line at Union Station and then runs northeast to Pasadena. All lines run daily 5am-12.30am.
The main Amtrak station is at Union Station, 800 N. Alameda St. next to the Hollywood (US-101) freeway in downtown Los Angeles. The train station also has a Metro Red Line subway station (platforms in station's basement) and Metro Gold Line light rail station (on platforms 1 and 2, parallel to the Amtrak and Metrolink trains), while local city buses stop at various locations around the terminal, including some in the MTA (Patsaouras) bus plaza at the east portal of the station. Taxis are available at the west exit and the station is within short walking distance to the Civic Center and Olvera Street. Chinatown and Little Tokyo are nearby.
