Old town centre, Milan

In the heart of Milan you can find the old town centre with its history and culture: hundreds of monuments, museums, churches and green areas. Navigli, Milan

Navigli was a system of navigable and interconnected canals around Milan to enable the reaching of Milan through the Ticino and Adda, to improve freight and trading traffics. The urban section of the Navigli was partially covered in 1930. Nowadays the Navigli is the young area of the city where you can find a lot of pubs, restaurants and clubs.

These areas of Milan are the touristic and entertainment areas of the city. At every corner, on every street there is a subway station offering transportation all throughout Milan.

Chinatown

Milan Chinatown is the most ancient and biggest Chinatown of all Italy, and the second in Europe after Paris one but only for its extension. Chinatown is placed in Canonico Sarpi area and it was established in 1920 from some Chinese immigrates skilled in silk and dry good workmanship. Now there you will find a real city in the city with a lot of shops, authentic Chinese restaurants and editorial offices of Chinese newspapers as the Europe China News. A suggestive occasion is the Chinese New Year's day where you can see an amazing dragoons parading in the streets of Chinatown.

Milano2

Milano 2 is the modern area of Milan, a sort of satellite town, built around 1970, thanks to the contribution of the Mediaset Company, one of the major one in Italy. Milano 2 hostes living quarters, the Saint Rafael University hospital and Palazzo Cigni.

Milan Fair

Milan fair is one of the bigger fair area in Europe and it is divided into two buildings, Fieramialnocity and Fieramilano. Fieramilanocity is placed in the centre of the city, near Piazzale Lotto and it is the historic buiding of Milan fair. There you can find all kinds of events, exhibitions and shows, as for example the SMAO (Informatic and Communications technology International show) and the CARTOONS (Cartoons, videogames, collecting show). Fieramalano is settled out of the city of Milan, in the Metropolintan area, in the city of Rho, easy to rach with the metro, line M1. There you will find shows as the BOJOX (trinkets show). Milan fair can be visited only during shows and events.
