MILAN MARKETS AND FAIRS
As in any other big city such as Milan, during the week you can find a series of local markets where you can buy a lot of different things, such as food and clothes with the advantage of saving money compared to the prices of the supermarkets or shops near you. Hundreds of stalls displaying their products daily in different areas of Milan. If you are looking for special items you can rely on specialized markets or 'historical' fairs in the city, from flea markets, where you can really find a lot of antiques collections. Over the weekend, the most characteristic corners of Milan are transformed and are crowded by pedlars and fans of the exchange and barter, offering the old restored furniture, exchange stamps or telephone cards, looking for the missing piece for their collection.
Some of the more interesting markets in Milan are the Senigallia Market: every Saturday morning, Viale d'Annunzio becomes a picturesque sight, very crowded, full of colours and smells typical of flea markets. There are tidy stalls, where you can go looking for your bargain. The music of the Senegalese musicians accompany the people walking around with their frenetic rhythms, searching in the hundreds of stalls.
