Oliver! is the moving story of a scrawny young boy named Oliver who is fed up with his life of poverty in a 19th Century orphanage and decides to run away to the industrial capital, London. There he is led astray by the unscrupulous Fagin alongside the East End boys. He is tutored in the ways of petty crime and apprentices in the art of pickpocketing, but Oliver is a good boy at heart and there is hope for him yet...
Oliver! is based on Charles Dickens' novel Oliver Twist and made into a catchy, heart-warming musical adapted by lyricist Lionel Bart. Jodie Prenger takes the role of Nancy, and Rowan Atkinson fans will be delighted to know that the star of Blackadder, Mr. Bean, and Johnny English plays the role of Fagin.
