Old Town – Transtevere

It is impossible to describe rome in one breath. And if you want to see everything in Rome it would take you probably more then one month! That is due to the fact that Rome has more history then any other city in the world.

Navona Square is one of the main starting places for tourist who want to do sightseeing in Rome. This area is full of shops and restaurants, where it is possible to enjoy all the specialities of the Italian cuisine. In the middle of the square there is one of the most famous works of Bernini: “The Four Rivers Funtain”.

From the Navona square it is easy to reach the famous "Campo dei Fiori" (Field of the Flower). The Campo dei Fiori is a marketplace but during the evening it becomes a meeting point for young people. Everywhere throughout the city you can found famous monuments. At the Campo dei Fiori you can find the statue of Giordano Bruno. Who was one of the most known victims of the Inquisition. Along the Tiber you can meet the French embassy, located in Farnese square, followed by the Corso Vittorio.

Another tourist route in Rome could be the "via del Corso" which will take you from the "Venice square" up to "Popolo square". In fact this way is rich of shops and, in the end, you can see the Trevi Fountain, one of the major works of the Renaissance.

After that, you will arrive in "Spain square", where there is the very famous Spanish Stairs and the Barcaccia foutain. Then you will reach another fascinating place, the Plinco, that is a balcony with a breathtaking view on the Eternal City located on the Villa Borghese park.

Prati – San Pietro – Vatican city

Located in the old part of Rome, this little place attracts tourist and faithful from every place in the world. Particularly during the Pope's ceremonies. In this place there are also many artwork, such as the St. Peter Basilica and the Vatican Museums.

Prati is the perfect location for shopping if you travel to Rome. Apart from its shopping area, Prati is also famous for all the offices, law firms and for the Olympic Stadium.

Termini station – Esquilino

The Termini station is the major Roman station and it is considered to be one of the most important places in Rome. Everywhere there are hotels, shops and restaurants and is easy to reach every place in the city using the public transportation (particularly bus and metro).

For the artistic side, in this zone it is possible to visit the Roman church “St. Maria of the Angels”, located in Republica square. Is better to avoid this zone during the night because of the presence of many pickpockets.

Eur – San Giovanni – Ostiense

The Eur was conceived during the fascist period and is one of the youngest quarters in the city. In the architecture you can see the characteristics of this period.

This zone is easy to reach from the historical centre of Rome. It is completely surrounded by nature, which makes it one of the most luxurious and aristocratic areas in Rome.

Cassia – Trionfale – Camilluccia

The Via Cassia is a road from the old Roman empire and as of this day it is still considered as one of the major Italian roads. It start from Giochi square, alongside Bracciano trough Viterbo and until the Tuscan area.

Cassia is particularly known for the Tomb of Nero, that actually is the monument for P. Vibio Mariano.

Portuense – Monte Verde

This area is very close to Transtevere and to Vatican city, and it has one of the best views over Rome. From the “Fontanone” it is possible to observe every Roman dome from the Renaissance and understand the city geographically.
