War Horse Theatre PlayNew London Theatre presents War Horse, the dramatic theatre production about two friends who go to war, except that in this case the friends are a boy and his horse.

Shortly before the outbreak of World War I in Devon, a young boy named Albert is given a horse as a gift from his aging father. He names the horse Joey and the two are inseparable. But when the First World War breaks out, Albert’s father sells the horse to the cavalry. Joey is going to war, a notion which Albert cannot stand. Rather than let his friend go to war alone, Albert lies about his age and joins the army. But things aren’t what Albert had imagined and he ends up spending much of the war looking for his friend.

Described as “heartbreakingly beautiful” (The Times) and “powerfully moving” (Daily Telegraph), this English production has received nothing but rave reviews. Get your tickets while they last!
